immersion in nature

Howdy friend,

During this month in northwest Montana, I have experienced so many of the wonders of nature. Falling stars graced the clear dark night sky during the new moon. The waxing moon gradually evolved into this evening's huge orange Blue Supermoon, the second full moon in August.

Father Sun reigned over translucent blue skies bringing on the summer heat. Fluffy clouds floated by creating shapes to intrigue the imagination. Thunder storms with flashes of lightening blew across the land bringing rain and even hail to break the heat. Some days, the sun set as a magenta glowing ball into the smoky haze.
Fawns and does grazed casually on residential lawns and rested in the shade near the river’s edge. Ducks, geese and herons fished in the waterways. Squirrels scurried about and chipmunks begged for treats along the mountain trails leading to spectacular waterfalls. No bears in sight, but one cannot miss the constant reminders that they share these wild spaces.
I paddled on the river and swam in the crystal clear lakes filled with colorful round stones. I watched mesmerized as a man was fly-fishing beneath a little waterfall in a red rock river. I marveled at the density of the forest pines and watched the leaves of deciduous trees begin to turn autumn yellow. I drove on precarious narrow cliffside roads surrounded by craggy mountain peaks with glacial ice patches in Glacier National Park.
The train whistle blew through the small town of Whitefish Montana while I shopped at the weekly Farmer’s Market and appreciated the crafts of local artisans. Talented local musicians provided nightly entertainment at the delicious downtown restaurants. The Montana Fur Traders trading post down the highway was stocked with irresistible treasures and sacred tools that will find their way home with me. The 10pm town siren marked bedtime at the end of each beautiful day.
Living so close to nature in a small town influences the culture of the people. Everyone I encountered has been friendly and courteous. One parent shared that Being Kind is a fundamental lesson taught to school children here. Another parent mentioned that every teenager is expected to have a job to learn to be a productive citizen and to give back to their community.
My fog-induced depression has lifted, and I feel in the flow with nature's dramatic changes. Each day, I awaken to a new adventure to be explored! What might shift in you if you seek the opportunity to reconnect with nature and to recenter yourself in being human in this beautiful world?

Journey with the drum to the unseen realms to connect with compassionate guardian spirits for guidance and healing through direct revelation.

Plant your bare feet on the earth and breathe deeply the fresh air. Remember that you are not a part of nature - You ARE nature!

Hugs and blessings,

Sonya
