When you are enjoying a romantic
dinner at an upscale restaurant, the last
thing you want is a boisterous band
blasting live music. That is why I pay
particular attention to the ambiance that
we are creating when we perform dinner
music for you.
You could say that my classy jazz
trio is more like Fourth of July sparklers
than explosive fireworks - quietly sizzling
with a bright glow.
"Fireworks" (1928) by Louis
Armstrong and his Hot Five
Back in 1928, trumpeter Louis
Armstrong recorded a tune called
"Fireworks" in the typical Dixieland jazz
style of the day. His Hot Five band plays
with fire and excitement...much too much
for fine dining background music but fun
to listen to when celebrating
Independence Day!
The classic jazz songs that we
play at Fattoria e Mare in Half Moon Bay
don't reach quite so far back in time,
although you can expect to hear some good
ole standards from the '30s and '40s. You
may be surprised at how many of these
melodies are still relevant and popular
today.
Join us this weekend!
SATURDAY, JULY 8, 2023 from
6-8pm

I don't know about you,
but my mouth is already watering at the
thought of indulging in the delicious
gourmet Italian food at Fattoria e Mare
this Saturday. Working up my appetite and
my setlist for you right now.
