Hello friend,
The supercharged lunar energy of
today's full moon should provide an
exciting undercurrent for our Fourth of
July holiday celebrations!
Named for the season in the
Northern Hemisphere when male deer are
growing new antlers, this Full Buck Moon is
also a Super Moon - appearing larger and
brighter due to being closest to the Earth
during its elliptical
orbit.
My favorite astrologer, Stephanie
Austin, suggests that we tap into the
energy of this full moon in
Capricorn-Cancer to notice what's missing
in our lives and take steps toward
manifesting it. The Buck Moon also reminds
us that the more in touch we are with our
feelings, our kinships, and Mother Nature,
the greater our sense of life direction,
sovereignty, and agency. Perfect cosmic
influence as we celebrate Independence
Day!

Our
recent Summer Solstice Ceremony -
Native Flute Meditation and Shamanic
Journey was really moving and
special. Afterwards, we each took home a
mandarin orange that had been charged
with high vibration energy from the alter
and from our individual group members.
Eating the orange in a sacred way before
bed gave us an opportunity to expand upon
our guidance and healing during the
dreamtime.
We also had a surprise visit from
Anna Hoch-Kenney, photojournalist with the
Half Moon Bay Review. She asked to take a
few photos before the ceremony began, and I
agreed as long as she honored our
participants' privacy.
The following week, a large photo
appeared on page 2 of the Half Moon Bay
Review with the caption, "Celebrating
Summer: Sonya Jason plays a calming melody
on a Teotihuacan-style Native American
wooden flute during a summer solstice
ceremony on June 21."
