Season's Greetings,
friend!
At the time of the Winter
Solstice, the shortest day quickly
descends into the depths of darkness
during the longest night of the year. It
is at this moment, however, that the Sun
begins to return, and the days begin to
lengthen. As the days become longer, more
light radiates into the world. This
natural rhythm and dance of Earth and Sun
is a trigger within our psyche, allowing
that which is buried in the dark depths
of our emotional body to be illuminated
and released.
Throughout the cultures of the
world, the Winter Solstice is recognized
as a powerful transition time, one that
is acknowledged and celebrated in ways
that are deeply rooted in Shamanic
origins. As we honor the Earth’s
cycles and the wisdom of our ancient
ancestors, our sacred ceremonies and
celebrations have a profound
transformative affect. We release the
burdens of the past year, stepping into
the new year free of regrets and
resentments, free of clinging to how we
wish things had been rather than
accepting how things are.
