Hello, friend!
For the past several nights, I
have been listening to a pair of Great
Horned Owls outside of my window. Their
tranquil hoots sound like a call and
response, an intimate conversation
between courting birds.
One night, I could not
sleep. So, in the wee dark hours of the
morning, I softly opened the kitchen
window to listen for the owls. My heart
fluttered when I heard them. This time,
their hoots were perfectly synchronized,
harmonizing with one another. The sound
of quiet contentment.
