heartfelt moving prayer

Our August New Moon Ceremony was magical and powerful. A full house of wonderful women sang, danced, prayed, meditated, journeyed, shared, dissolved our persistent worries, and created inspiring new intentions for our lives. (FYI-men, you are invited, too!)

Perhaps, the most moving part of the evening was our heartfelt prayer dance for the Amazon Rainforest. Tears came to my eyes the minute the prayer began to flow from my lips:

Great Spirit, we come to you tonight with broken hearts as we witness the devastating fires ravaging the Amazon Rainforest.

We are so sorry that our brothers and sisters in South America are experiencing such economic need that they view the rainforest merely as a resource for their survival.

We are sorry that corporations from the United States and around the world are exploiting the rainforest for profit over the well-being of people and our precious planet.

We are sorry, too, for the ways in which we ourselves have contributed to this devastation, knowingly or unwittingly, through our demand for products sourced in the Amazon Rainforest.

Please forgive us. We thank you for your loving patience with us as we work to raise our awareness and become better caretakers of our Mother Earth.

Tonight, we dance our prayer for healing; the healing of the trees, plants, animals, reptiles, insects, birds and human beings that have been harmed or injured in these fires. Please heal and restore well-being to those whose lives have been impacted.

We dance our prayer for those beings who perished in the fires. Please grant them an honorable closure to their earthly lives.

Lastly, we dance our prayer for great rain; cooling, nourishing rain that quells the fires, clears the air and begins the natural restoration of the land; life-giving rain that offers us a bit more time to raise our consciousness as a world community so that we may be more responsible stewards of this beautiful planet we call home.

Thank you, Great Spirit, for hearing our prayers.

Native Flute Meditation and Drum Journey

Saturday, September 28, 2019 5~7 p.m.

Gather in Sacred Circle at dusk, when the veils between worlds are thinnest, to embrace the new moon with reflection, renewal and seeding new intentions.

Let go of everyday concerns and rest in peaceful meditation to the soothing sounds of Native American Flute music played live.

Journey with the drum to the unseen realms to connect with compassionate guardian spirits for healing and guidance through direct revelation.
