ANOTHER ALBUM
RELEASE!
Sonya Jason's "Secret
Lover"
Hello
Music Lover,
Announcing another album
release!
What? Another one so
soon?!! 😎 🎷
Yep!
While putting the finishing
touches on my newest album called "Feels So Good: Live in Half
Moon Bay," I realized that the
30th Anniversary of my very first recording
is drawing near. "Secret Lover" was released
on cassette in 1988, and this debut project
landed me a major label record deal with
Warner Music Discovery!
Thanks to the prompting of
the recording engineer who co-produced the
album with me, Ben Taylor (formerly with
Electra Records), "Secret Lover"
has been digitally remastered and repackaged
as a CD with cool black & white graphics
and an original photo from the album release
concert.
Conceived as a concept
album, the music provides a soundtrack to the
tale of a torrid love affair from the fiery
inception to the inevitable end. Sax-driven
jazz fusion with pop and rock influences
creates the varying moods of this mostly
original project. The final cut concludes the
story with a unique arrangement of the
popular Santana tune,
“Europa.”
Many thanks to my long-time
Phoenix area musician friends who contributed
to the project that helped to launch my
career! Fond memories…big hugs to each
of you.

capturing an audience. She plays what people
want to hear - it's Soul jazz, R&B jazz,
Latin jazz - it's just good music. The girl
