Hello Music Lover,

“A gentleman is a man who can play the saxophone but doesn’t.”

--Anonymous

By this definition, one must actually learn to play the saxophone as a prerequisite to becoming a cultured person by NOT playing it! Fortunately, I can help you with that.

My music teaching studio is going strong, offering Private Music Lessons on saxophone, flute, and clarinet as well as Jazz Workshops for young people and adults. My rigorous and rewarding teaching program provides weekly prizes for practicing. Kids LOVE this! And the results are impressive.

In addition, throughout the 12-week session, students earn raffle tickets for each completed Practice Log. Raffle Winner gets to choose from a selection of Play-Along Books with CDs. Look above at the smiling faces of this year's proud winners!

Now, I am thrilled to announce that my new ONLINE Lessons are up and running. This video is a FREE Overview of my saxophone lesson series available on Rifftime.com.

You may choose from ten video lessons covering topics such as Jam Session Etiquette, Producing A Powerful Sound, and Building Musical Vocabulary. And the price is right at just $2.99 per lesson!

If that is not enough inspiration for you, follow me on my new Facebook page, Sonya Jason Music Studio. Here you will enjoy frequent fun and inspiring music related posts plus tips for becoming a better musician and a better human being, as well as updates about my performances and teaching studio.

Cheers!

P.S. Looking for a little less talk and a lot more action? Ok, let's get down to the nitty gritty with some real Sax Education:

"The saxophone...is loud and shrill and brassy. It can sound very sorry for itself or very sarcastic, but the thing you remember about it most is its peculiar whining voice."
