"Hot Sax, Cool Jazz!"

Hello Music Lover!

Oil spill, immigration, unemployment, economic meltdown, housing crisis, war, global warming... I don't know about you, but I could really use some good news. So, I turned to a funny person to help me out:

"Here's a little bit of good news. The Coast Guard says that BP is now catching up to 630,000 gallons of oil a day. The bad news is that they're capturing it with ducks.

There's some good economic news here. Employers plan to hire 5 percent more college graduates this year than in 2009. Unfortunately, almost all these jobs involve rubber gloves, paper towels, and a one-way ticket to the Gulf of Mexico." —Jimmy Fallon

Well, maybe I'm better off creating my own good news!

Here's something for you: I've been invited to perform at a fabulous new venue on the coastside. You're gonna love it! Spectacular ocean views overlooking my favorite beach, exquisite food, trendy decor, sweet servers, exotic Peruvian cocktails AND music! You must come out to La Costanera Restaurant in Montara CA and experience this for yourself.

Just for the occasion, I've put together a brand new band, Sonya Jason's "Latini." More martini than margarita, this latin-flavored acoustic trio plays your favorite sultry bossa novas by Antonio Carlos Jobim along with cheerful sambas to keep your spirit sunny.

If all of this optimism is just too much for you, I don't blame you for wanting to avoid these newsletters. Just stuff your computer, iPod, Plasma TV and other media gadgets into your own "junk shot" and see if that stops the flow of good news.
