If I was a funny person instead of a "serious musician," I may
have written these very same jokes. I'm certain that my Bichon Frise,
Brandy, is a 2-year-old child trapped in a fluffy, white dog suit. And I
cannot deny that she is definitely my child substitute.
Years ago I was lucky enough to share a few laughs
with comic Rita Rudner during a performance in San Juan, Puerto
Rico. Her witty humor about relationships, aging, and "pet children" is more
